Everyone knows that blenders are handy when it comes to making smoothies and shakes. Delicious drink recipes are a mainstay when it comes to blender handbooks. Adding a little alcohol to your blender drinks makes them the perfect addition to a summer party or your holiday celebration. Blender drinks can be icy libations or deliciously warm for the winter months. Trendy new recipes include some of your favorite bar drinks along with new creations made just for the more powerful blender styles.

Frozen Daiquiri One of the top party drinks, especially during the summer, is the frozen daiquiri. These luscious and chilly favorites come in styles that are sure to suit any party-goer. Begin with frozen fruit rather than ice and you have daiquiris that never get that watered-down flavor. A great strawberry daiquiri recipe starts with fresh frozen strawberries. To create this drink take a pint of strawberries and remove the stems. Wash the strawberries thoroughly and place them in the freezer. Once they are completely frozen, put the berries in your blender. Add 1/4 of a cup of any flavored rum and 2 teaspoons of lime juice. Toss in 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and blend on a low speed. Finish the drink on a high speed to make it extra smooth and creamy. Pour the daiquiri into several cocktail glasses and your treat is ready for a party.

If you want to skip the high-calorie ice cream, you can create this same daiquiri recipe using two cups of crushed ice. Remember that the ice does tend to melt quickly so this option does not stay blended for long. Substitute frozen bananas or any other type of berry and you can quickly change the flavor of your daiquiri.  Cocktail Smoothie  For a twist on the typical frozen drink, try a cocktail smoothie. These recipes are also simple and perfect for almost any type of blender. Add 1/2 of a cup of pineapple juice and two cups of mango slices to the blender carafe. A cup of vanilla yogurt and 1/2 of a cup of ice will make the drink creamy. Blend on high until all ingredients are mixed well and then add 1/4 of a cup of rum or vodka. Either choice of alcohol creates a drink that gives the impression of a smoothie with the added bonus of the liquor.

For alcoholic blender drinks, the classic recipes for daiquiris and smoothies are always a party favorite. Blend your own eggnog during the holiday season and make a scrumptious hot chocolate with a splash of rum. No matter what your taste in beverages, a blender makes it simple to enjoy bar-quality alcoholic drinks in your own home.
